PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The purpose of this position is to create sales goals and strategies to establish new business within the Linear Motion and Ball Screw Industries.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Travel at least 50% of the time within the United States to represent the company and achieve designated sale goals
- Research and identify opportunities to improve sales performance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers
- Work closely with the design, engineering, manufacturing and supply chain departments to ensure good customer service
- Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data to determine potential leads
- Monitor business market conditions in relation to competitor’s sales performance
- Recommend improvements to boost performance to the Sales Team
- Prepare and monitor quotes
- Assist customer through product issues by providing technical support
- Follow safety rules
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Education:
A bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent skills and experience is required
Experience:
- 5 years of technical customer service inside/outside sales experience is required
- 3 years of Customer Service Management System (CRM) experience or equivalent is required
- 5 years’ selling experience of Linear Guiderails is required
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (machining, cost estimating, etc.) is a plus
- Knowledge of MAPICS software is preferred
