Maintain IBMi system to ensure operating system and CUMS are at current level.
Perform quarterly maintenance and system saves of the IBMi and assure nightly backups are completed.
Oversee the development, design and implementation of new applications, updates to existing computer systems and software packages.
Maintain security and privacy of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment.
Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery, back-up procedures, and information security.
Recommends information technology policies and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
Primary IT contact for outside vendor bids, contracts, agreements, and other major vendor interactions.
Responsible for the maintenance, integrity, and uninterrupted operations of all IT Systems.
Responsible for the installation and maintenance of all hardware equipment and software.
Maintains quality standards by establishing and enforcing IT policies and procedures.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks, etc.
Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and outside resources.
Responsible for the ordering, acquisition, inventorying, and disposition of hardware, software, and all peripherals.
Scope and oversee installation of programs and systems to meet the organization's needs.
Create and maintain the appropriate documentation of all custom applications.
Provide educational instructions to end users to ensure efficient work processes.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of five (5) year in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.
Experience with Microsoft Windows Environments, Internet Information Server, Microsoft Office, and other applications.
Experience with installation, maintenance, support and troubleshooting of TCP/IP, networks supporting VOIP telephone, and other IT systems.
Strong understanding of business, accounting, and manufacturing processes.
Experienced with Microsoft servers & Active Directory.
Understanding of CISCO products such as Anyconnect, Firewall & Fire Power.
Sound programming knowledge of RPG, RPGLE with embedded SQL and Integrator Languages.
