PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The purpose of this position is to support customers through understanding and interpreting product application, generate quote information, product solutions and manage internal scheduling conflicts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support the sales function of all RBS and RLM products, by addressing the customer's ball screw and linear motion needs.
- Serve an internal sales support for all territory locations and outside sales representatives to ensure positive distributor relationships
- Provide technical support to customer base
- Be accountable for entire sales process; quotes, invoices, credit memo's, RGA's, order entry, etc.
- Maintain existing and prospective customer databases by actively utilizing the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)
- Follow up on CRM referrals to identify potential customers, generate interest, and create a sales opportunity
- Effectively utilize internal MRP systems
- Assist customers with order forecasting to ensure timely delivery of all orders
- Actively solicit product opportunities by referring leads to the appropriate sales leader
- Provide support to internal departments as needed
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education:
- BS degree in engineering or related equivalent technical field preferred
Experience:
- 3-5 years of sales experience preferred
- Technical sales experience is preferred
- 2-3 years' experience using Excel and spreadsheet manipulation is required
- Experience use MAPICS software is preferred
- Experience use CRM databases is preferred
