Jefferson High School Visit
Recently, we hosted a group of Jefferson High School students who are attending the Rockford Public Schools' Production Academy. The job shadow was part of an overall program for their academy to introduce them to pathways within Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Trades, Skilled Trades and Transportation Tech.
The students were able to not only see the stages of our production process, but also get a real-life experience in a manufacturing environment. This exposure to the intricacies of todays modern manufacturing will hopefully allow the students to better understand the career possibilities that are available in manufacturing. During their visit, students were able to tour our facility and see our culture of teamwork in action.
Thanks to Ron Axon, Director of Engineering, Burke Young, Production Manager and Tom Wenger, Production Supervisor for showing the students around our facility and answering the questions. Also, thanks to Rockford Public Schools for providing this opportunity. It's clear these students will go far and we are honored to be part of their learning process.
