Meet cobot Rosie, the newest addition to our state-of-the-art facility. Unlike traditional manufacturing robots that are isolated from human interaction, Rosie is working virtually side-by-side with our heat treater operators which is creating competitive advantages for RBS. For one, Rosie can run semi-autonomously so our operator can focus on other, more value-added tasks in other areas of the production process. The cobot also make us more efficient and more productive to adapt to the demands of order volume. As of now, Rosie can run more than an hour without any operator involvement so our heat treat operations can run continually during breaks, lunch, and short periods of lights out.
